The large lower level, with 2 staircases for access, offers plenty of entertainment - an 80" flat panel TV with plenty of seating to watch a movie or sporting event; a beautiful floor to ceiling stone gas fireplace to comfortably settle in front of; a custom bar to hang out at and puzzles and board games for some competitive fun. And if more diversions are needed, check out the game room (unconditioned space) with ping pong, air hockey table, and double hoops basketball.
But for some real competition and fun, be sure to get outside to enjoy Ten Acre Woods private pickle ball court (paddles and balls provided); a game of corn hole in the backyard; or a hike on our newest amenity, a half-mile long, 100-foot elevation gain perimeter walking path.
And after a day of exploring Asheville and all the area has to offer, you'll look forward to coming home to enjoy peaceful evenings on the large covered deck overlooking the vast acreage, lounging in the hot tub, or gathering under the stars around the fire pit (wood provided) to share stories about your adventures. We know you'll make wonderful memories at Ten Acre Wood!

The property was beautiful, very peaceful, and well stocked with everything you would need for your stay. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
I stayed here for a girls trip and we had an amazing time. Easy 15 minutes into the city, we ate at great restaurants and went to a spa. The property has a pickleball court which was super fun! The whole place was impeccably clean and well organized. The kitchen worked great for our home cooked meals. Thank you for hosting us!
Four couples having a friend’s reunion - we had a great time and enjoyed the property. Kitchen and sundries were very well stocked, and everything was clean and comfortable.
Stayed with my family for spring break. Very clean and spacious.
There was so much space that everyone found that they could gather and find time alone! It was just right for 4 teens and 4 adults!
House was very clean and comfortable. In a good location, close enough to the action but still quiet if you like that.
This was a great house with plenty of space for all. It was very clean and beds were really comfortable. Have fun with hot tub and the fire pit was great for roasting marshmallows.
The property was great! Lots of space and sitting areas. Loved how private it was! The only issue was getting ubers to come to the house but getting home was easy!!
We had 4 couples meet in Asheville for a weekend of fun and relaxation. This house provided a great place to relax and it's location wasn't far from town where we did the Biltmore tour. The downstairs area was great for watching football and playing cards. Enjoyed our stay immensely!
Lucky for us the weather was perfect for us all to spend a lot of time on the back covered deck which overlooks a beautiful backyard full of nature. So pretty! Four adults stayed at the home while a family of two adults and a toddler who live nearby came over. The only thing we really had to make sure of was blocking the spiral stairs from the toddler, I brought a baby gate net type thing which worked great. The game room in the garage was a lot of fun! The expansive yard was nice to walk around and chase the little one. A fun time was had by all, we enjoyed our stay!
Beautiful property. The game room was a lot of fun
We loved the house. Pristine condition and more space than the six of us could use. Beautiful setting looking out over the woods. Deck space made the house seem twice as large! Beth and the management company were really responsive and communication was terrific.
The property is beautiful and was a lovely place to spend a family get together. We enjoyed Asheville during the day and watched fireflies, stargazed, played games, and saw wildlife in the evenings. The house was clean, and the fact that each bedroom has its own bath worked perfectly for our group of six adults. I was surprised that there was no shampoo provided (although I realize that there was none listed in the amenities-so that is my mistake--just a heads-up for future guests). I was also surprised that there were only 7 Nespresso pods provided for our family of six for five days. Obviously, these are not issues that impacted our enjoyment of the property-again, just a head up. When we were checking out, we had several unopened drinks left and I called to see if we could leave them for future guests. I never received a response so we threw out any alcoholic drinks and left the soda and water. Again, I would highly recommend Ten Acre Wood-it is an elegant and beautiful house on a relaxing, soothing wooded property. Host’s response: We’re so pleased you experienced a 5 star stay, as that is always our goal, and we thank you for your feedback. As noted by guests in previous reviews, this homeowner provides a generous array of supplies as compared to other vacation rentals at this price point, including but not limited to a canister of high quality ground coffee, some 28 assorted Green Mountain k-cups, and a sampling of Nespresso pods. As shared with all guests prior to arrival, items are not provided in unlimited supply and guests need to restock for the remainder of their stay should they run out. We apologize for not returning your call as we have no record of missed call or voicemail, and appreciate your discarding the liquor as we would have done the same.
We stayed here for our family vacation over spring break. We wanted to be close to Asheville dining without being right in the city, but still centrally located to enjoy outdoor activities and the mountains in Western North Carolina. This was a great house located a short drive to downtown Asheville, so it was perfect for grabbing dinner in town or coffee and pastries on our way out for a day of hiking. Bedrooms were spacious. House was very clean and tastefully updated. Kitchen was well stocked. House was stocked with the essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, etc.) so we didn’t need to run out to buy more for the remainder of our stay. Lots of room to spread out. My kids really enjoyed the game room in the garage and the family room in the basement to do their own thing. Would stay again if we vacation in the area again.
The house was great. Beds were comfortable and tv room downstairs was perfect for watching football with the family. Kitchen had everything we needed for meals. Great location near Asheville.
This is by far the best rental property we have ever stayed in. There is tons of room for a large family and it is VERY well equipped!
So thankful to have chosen this beautiful home for family & close friends to stay while visiting Asheville!! The love & attention to detail put in by its owners were quite evident, adding to the overall charm & nostalgia of our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, gorgeous, well-loved home with generous outdoor space for a variety of activities and plenty of indoor entertainment as well! Especially loved the skylights in bedrooms & showers, the large porch with ample furniture for sitting or dining, and the fire pit with plenty of seating outside and lots of dry, chopped wood!!! Many thanks to the owners & others involved in keeping this place so special.
The property is very well maintained. The house has all the essential items for your stay. Kitchen fully stocked so you can stay in and cook if needed. The interior has been updated and the rooms are nicely furnished. Check in was easy. Game room in the garage was nice touch. Hot tub was great. You can sit on the deck or hot tub with a great view of the rolling hills below. It's about a 15 Uber ride into downtown if needed. Lots within driving distance to see.
WOW! WOW! WOW! Absolutely gorgeous property with impeccable features and amenities! We never wanted to leave! The quiet surroundings for strolls, perfect landscaping and picturesque house was all our group needed for a milestone long weekend that we will never forget! One guest room is more exquisite than the next with comfy beds and amazing linens! Even the bathrooms with skylights in the showers were phenomenal! We had so much space! Our party of 8 had 4 bedrooms to chose from and we all had so much fun making dinner together in this magnificent kitchen! If you are heading to Asheville, you must check out The Lodge at 10 Acre Woods for your stay! Thank you for making our trip the best ever!!!
Not only did we love our time together -- we loved The Lodge at Ten Acre Wood! Just having been renovated -- my friends and I appreciated that the house was so beautifully furnished, spacious, filled with light and clean!. Each room had something unique -- from high beamed ceilings, the massive stone fireplace, the living room picture windows, the Koi pond, and the incredible wrap-around deck -- which made figuring out just where to relax and hang out a good problem to have! Glad we had three days to enjoy all of The Lodge's space and amenities including the brand new hot tub. And the fact that the kitchen had two coffee set ups along with a little "snack/treat" corner was a bonus! We split our meal times between cooking/grilling at the house and traveling (easy drive) into Asheville for some of the awesome restaurants there. We especially loved the covered deck overlooking the huge, quiet property. And while we never lit the fire pit, we did sit around it to enjoy some wine anyways! Sometimes property picture and descriptions don't live up to your expectations -- not here tho -- and we can't wait to return with our husbands for a "couples" trip at Ten Acre Wood! We know our guys will use the game room a bit more than we did...
